As far as I know, the past and the future in the book are simultaneous. Also, I am sure I mentioned it before but wasn't Matt very confident at the end of Nightrise. It almost seems as he knows the whole story of his own past; and beyond.

Exactly, or perhaps he found out something from the diary. I can't memorise whether he got the diary in the end or was it destroyed.

I see... I'm currently reading Day of the Dragon, and I haven't read that anywhere. And it says nothing about it in PO5.

Richard in DOTD is amazing. That panda was so funny! And when he blows all his money, 140 Avos, at the Portuguese casino and thinks it's a large amount but then Han Shang-Tung tells him it's equal to 90p... why didn't AH keep all these things for Necropolis?
