Power of five..

« on: March 28, 2007, 08:26:52 PM »

Ok I've just finished Nightrise an I must say it was awesome! But what does everybody else think?  The battle scene and the chapters set 10,000 years ago were amazing!!!
I found this book a lot different to the other two, probably because it was centrered around a different character...
does anyone have a favourite part and if so why?

i have to say the whole book is Cheesy my favorite book out of the three. i got all goosebumpy in LOADS of places...probably the most exciting for me is when Jamie and Scott finally found Matt and Pedro, my mum thought i was injured when i cried out "OMG!!!" lol.... grin love the book Cheesy

actually i was a bit upset when there wasnt Matt in half of the book...i was also VERY confused when the big head south american guy appeared in the office screen thing, but realised that the Peru gate book is happening the same time as this book. im probably the first person to finish the book in Hong Kong afro

Yea there is a woman in it that helps, though she is not a writer. An yea the time thing had me confused for a while. I kinda missed Matt not being in it, I really want to know what happens to him after the gate opened.. Grrr lol

ok, i read it, and i must say, like the previous books, he didn't change all that much.  the fact that alicia is now a senator's assistant is different though.  and the native american attack on the prison...the native american attack used to be in the original of evil star...

it's no longer the queen of the old ones that runs nightrise, and when she's killed, the building doesn't collapse, which is too bad.  and also jaime isn't nearly crushed by a stage coming down which was fun.  i did like how in the prison his assumed name was his name in the original though.  and already the first chapter of day of the dragon is left out...no more man in sqeauky crocodile leather shoes chasing her through london anymore....i hope he does come in eventually cause he's important

the book was really good, but i feel the ending was rushed. When scott and jaime go through the door to peru, everything goes by a bit too quickly, and it doesnt really tell us how scott and jaime found pedro and matt in peru

the old books were written around the time i was born, but i got them when i was a teenager.  the new series wasn't out yet so they were still available.  i'm happy with the details filled in, but i'm not that happy with the parts he left out.  cause up to now he's always left out the parts that i liked best, and remembered best...
