Alex might've told her everything he found out at scorpia just after he got home after the business with Nile. when he just came home to her all beaten up, jack would've probably been so freaked out that he just told her everything...i mean he trusts her right?
I think that's exactly what would have happened - Alex trusts Jack more than anyone, basically. His business with trying to find Scorpia was a very personal thing to him and there's no reason why Jack shouldn't have known. That part, though very dramatic, inspired some amusement in me upon reading it - just because of the image of Alex practically just coming home to Jack after yet another life-threatening mission, saying "Jack I'm home...what's for dinner?" (I mean what else can he say really?), and Jack makes him dinner and he wolfs it down and then he goes to bed... That's what it said he did, upon returning from the Scorpia business. It's just so funny he could do something so normal after something like that...lol |

Though Jack didn't have a big part in Ark Angel, I agree she had a deeper part in it than she ever did in the previous novels. You actually got to see just how Alex's life as a spy is effecting Jack, and for a while she doubts as to whether she is really capable of looking after Alex... which would be tough, considering how much she loves him.

lol I think sometimes she can't decide is Alex knows what he's doing or not - with all the escapades Alex gets into, and even after she has made Alex promise he won't get into any more trouble. I believe that's the reason she was angry with him after taking him home in Ark Angel, she couldn't sure how long he'd be there for. Besides, half the time Alex doesn't know what he's doing - he often relies on pure instinct and even desperation sometimes. If I was Alex's guardian I'd feel the same... lol
