Near the beginning, when Alex first arrived at the Point Blanc hotel, he was drugged - and he must have known it. I think it makes it quite clear that alex realised his drink was spiked...

But after the scene where Alex was in the examination room, Alex seems to completely forget about it! It's like he wakes up the next morning and thought nothing of the fact that he'd been drugged! How can he afterwards just keep going about his business at Point Blanc and not suspect something wrong (until it's too late)?

I'm sure there's an explanation for this somehow but I didn't understand it... Your thoughts?

i did not get the feeling that he didn't suspect somehting was wrong.  but i also didn't get the impression that he knew he was being drugged...

maybe the drug made him forget the last few hours, including getting drugged, if that makes sense

Yea Alex realised that his drink was drugged while everything was happening. But the drug also made him forget everything and when the room was being lowered it stated that Alex was asleep. It was just AH narrating what happened after Alex fell asleep.

Yes, that makes sense. Like when somebody is drunk, they could realise something and fall asleep, and when they wake up, they don't remember what they realised.

That is quite a good point... But another thing that I thought was strange about that part is that, even though Alex would not remember realising he was drugged (if he did indeed realise) wouldn't he wake up in his bed the next morning and wonder how on earth he got there, when the last thing he would remember was being at dinner?

IDK?Huh he probaly just thought of it. like when he thought about why they had to spend the night instead of going after dinner. that was suspsious Alex should have know something was wrong by that. fro being smart he sure is dumb... if u get it.

I'm not THAT obsessed.... okay maybe i am. Just a tad too much. Anthoy Horowitz, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Ally Carter are the best teen spy authors. And Meg Cabot rocks too. Rick Riordan too. Love Ya

lol not really, but I see what you mean. It sure would have been very confusing for Alex, as well as a little uncomfortable... As far as Alex is concerned, they could have been doing anything to him during the time he was asleep...

He could proably remember some of what happen just after he was drugged. I mean before he fell on the bed. He proably remembered enough to know where he was and how he got there. If he remembered that than he wouldn't have been worried when he woke up. Just a thought. I wouldn't know though, I've never been drugged.  cheesy
