Wow. What hav you guys been doing to get them to read AR?
My mom saw how excited my brother and I were about AR and wanted to find out what captured our interest! Then we told my dad, a computer technician, that Stormbreaker was about a computer, and he had to read it. We keep telling our friends about this exciting adventure series about a teen-age James Bond. I don't mind if they don't like AR, I'm just happy to have found out about it him.

Me too! At first I didn't even think I would like it, but i saw it on my shelf next to my favorite book at the time, and I needed something to read, so I was like 'what the hey' and I got it.

Im still trying to get my sister to read it. She keeps putting it off it's kinda annoying. The first book of the series i read was scorpia. we had to take a class vote for which book to read, I ashamed to say but i voted for another book. I'm so relieved that the other people in my class voted for scorpia. I loved the book so i began to read the series and that's how i became a fan. wow that's a weird story anyways i got my dad to read the books and i think he liked it even though he didn't like the idea of the movie though but i loved it.

Lol. I randomly loaned the first book to one of my friends and refused to take it back until he read it.

Hmm..I need to work on my persuasive skills.
I tried recommending them to my friends, like, a million times, but none of them are readers. Their the nonreading-unless-they-hav-to type. Only tow of my friends hav read them, but I consider that a success.
i got one readig the books....one tried -failed but came to see the film - and my third mate liked the first one and didnt know there were sequals
and now he does
I
was like that too! I read Stormbreaker when I had nothing to do in English one day, I was about 13. And I was like "That was a really good book, shame there aren't more." I went about for almost a year until I happened upon the sequels in the library! I could have kicked myself. lol But I was too busy reading the books to do it.

I just joined the list, have read the first five books, and must make a small confession: I am 51 years old, an academic by training, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the novels. I do plan on giving the first book or all six to my 14 y/o nephew for his birthday in May, but I had to confess! LOL
