I've got a link to the hardcover from CT here in Germany :
http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/images/3473353078/sr=8-1/qid=1259765254/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=299956&s=books&qid=1259765254&sr=8-1

@ arrowsong
I payed 17,91 EUR for CT because of the currency rate.

WHOO JULE!!!!! it is cooler than the pictures ay!! Me like. I have paperback too mwa ha ha. Cheesy

@arrowsong: How much are paperbacks for you?

Just noticed that!!!

Right now, $20 (how much CT cost me - fortunately it's a children's paperback, and so much less than a teen or adult book - an adult paperback would be $30 or $35) is equal to...

$15.70 AUD (Australia)
?8.75 GBP (England - pounds)
$14.50 USD (USA)
 9.60 euro

but that is REALLY reasonable for a book here. Normally they're (as I said) $30 or $35 (Eclipse and BD were $35 each. That hurt! =/)
Which is...
$27.40 AUD
?15.30 pounds
$25.45 USD

A hardback or a really thick/particularly literary paperback will be upwards of $40/$45.

How much are books for you guys? if you want, the currency converter I was having fun with is at http://www.xe.com/ucc/

I got it for 105 Egyptian pounds ... which is about 15 pounds sterling ... but i'm returning it so technically i get it free cheesy

Okay, just so everyone knows: There is a Crocodile Tears Review & Discussion thread now. This is open for all sorts of discussion without spoilers so people who haven't read the book can discuss it freely. If you do want to add in a spoiler, feel free to post a big giant spoiler warning.

Wait....

I think you need to edit that to clarify, bingollama... it sounds like the Discussion and Reviews thread is the one without spoilers.

And you're allowed to buy a book, read it, and return it?!?!?!?!? How!!??!!?? Im so sure we cant do that here!! Like you cant return CDs and stuff....

Exactly! xD Plus ... noobody would believe i'd finished it. I don't really look like the bookie type ... (its the hair. They always think, "Sure nobody who would actually walk around like THAT actually READS...")

Did it with Lirael, too xD

Anyway ... i'm sorry that wasn't clear!! Allow me to clarify:

This Thread: NO Spoilers (and if you MUST ... GIANT SPOILER WARNING IS OBLIGATORY!)

The Discussion & Review thread: Full of spoilers. Feel free to discuss it there as much as you like.

Better? cheesy

Muchly Smiley

Im sure you're not allowed to do that here. Well maybe (as mum said - I asked her) if it was in PRISTINE condition (like, didnt look touched) and you said like you'd bought it for someone but they already had it and you had the receipt and it'd only been like a day or something.....

But it's like DVDs and stuff... you could just watch it and return it... so they dont let you do it. But then again... it's not like that cos it's not... LIKE THAT, haha... It's a BOOK...

Im so confused! *goes to ask someone who works in retail*

Arrow, they dont let you return Dvvd's or cds or any form of electronic media if it has been open unless it doesnt work properly, like something is missing, because you could buy it, take it home, burn a copy then take it back. Most of the stores here have them either wrapped in plastic, or put a sticker at the opening.
Books cant be copied, well... photocopied, but that would end up costing you more than the book, but you could just download an illigal copy of the ebook instead of doing that or even buying it in the first place. So, they allow you to return them if you say its the wrong one or something.

i paid $16.99AU for CT,  but that was from angus and roberson, and they tend to put more on their books. All the otehr AR books only cost me around $12. at a different store. totally worth it though Cheesy
