i heard a rumor that snakehead is even more personal than scorpia so maybe there will be more about alex's past. anyone else heard this?

don't no how ah is going to make an 8th book without alex cause the whole series is about him and unless he turns 15 in the 7th book he has to be a least mentioned in the 8th or ah has to make a 9th.

Uh, there are things called prequels you know. It could be that Anthony decides to write a book about Ian or John Rider. Thus, it's a Alex Rider book (as it has characters from the Rider universe) but doesn't have Alex in it.

I heard rumours like that too. Mrs Jones' kids were taken, so it is possible that Snakehead took them I suppose. It's reported on Wikipedia that a Major Winston Wu, who works for Scorpia, is behind a attack on the London Underground involving poisoned sweets and chocolate bars. But that's unrefferenced, so take it with a pinch of salt.

I do have one theory about how Alex isn't actually in the book. I thought it might be a sort of rescue mission. Like Alex needs to be rescued. [One way to have this plot is Alex "training" another underage spy in the 7th book who could rescue him in the 8th book. ] That way Alex isn't actually in it-in it but it still could be about him.

I also never thought of it being about John or Ian Rider, which would also be cool.

during the web chat, anthony said that the 8th book will be about Yassen when he was 14, mostly. i think it's a cool idea.

I think that a bit of history would be good. A bit of Yassen at 14, a bit of Alex's parents, Alex's dad and that newspaper thingy, Mrs Jone's kids, Sabina?
