I kind of agree with you ArtemisFowlIII. To me it seemed like AH was trying to paint that picture. I could see where Sarov was coming from. But one thing you have to remember is that he was a mad man and whatever his views were that didn't change. I don't think that you can ever have a perfect government but I really see what you mean.

It is an amazingly written book. It was really touching, too!

I liked how it had a realistic feeling to it at the Scottish airport. It reminded you that the world was still there whilst Alex was off saving it, unlike other books by different authors. Unfortunately, it means my standards for authors are really high now, but at least I don't waste my time reading bad books now.

Skeleton Key is absolutely one of my favorites, (along with Eagle Strike). I didn't read the books in order, because my library is weird like that, and I understood everything that happened before Skeleton Key. It was also one of the books where I was hooked within the first couple of pages.

AH does have an amazing hook line and sinker technique, and I think it's well displayed in this book.

Skeleton key has always been on of my faves, Mainly because its the first Alex Rider book I read, and what got me hooked on to Anthony Horowitz as a writer. I dont think I knew Alex Rider existed before that...

i think this book is very good. the part i like the most would be when Alex finds out the bad dude wants to adopt him! (makes me shudder) shocked
