POTENTIAL SPOILERS

I read this book last since I saw the movie first. I then read the books 2-6 and loved every moment of them. Changes in STORMBREAKER seem to be few. A minor line here or there seems to be added to the US version and it's all the better for it. For one, Alex seems to be sad that he never knew his uncle all that well or at all. In the UK version it says pretty much the same line without the sad in it. Also in the UK version he plays with his nintendo and the in the US version he plays with his snooker game table. You would think it would be the other way around. In the ending, Alex is about 3000 feet away from the museum in one version and about 5000 feet in another. I'm sorry this book didn't include Anthony's written training extended version but the movie did and the commentary on the UK dvd says that or seems to hint that this chapter was available for download someplace. Something else? I forgot what but whatever. Oh yeah, SOME and actually Many US versions printed page 4 of the preview (POINT BLANK in the US) instead of the real page 4, thus page 4 is actually missing from some STORMBREAKER copies in the US.

I've never read a book that was missing pages, that I can remember, but that would be awful to get to the middle of a book and have pages missing.

LOL
that happened to me with "Skeleton Key" x____x
*SPOILERS*
I was reading about Alex and the Shark and the shark was circling closer to Alex and all of a sudden the next page was "the Russian President had arrived"
I was like "NOOOOOO EVILLLLL!" xD but I got that taken care of lol

edit// and yes we are a tad bit off topic xD
but I'm glad you liked the book hehe Cheesy
I bought Stormbreaker and Point Blank together five years ago at a book fair in school. After I read Stormbreaker I thought it was THE MOST AMAZING THING I'VE EVER READ and thanked the heavens that I got a copy of Point Blank also ^___^

I almost bought a book with really messed up pages. If was flipping through it at the checkout and noticed some of the pages got printed sideways (how ever that happen!?) and the top and bottom of the page was blank, with a little text in the middle. I quickly exchanged it for another one. Whew.

rofl, as much as I want to lock this, I'll follow Hydramate's example for now xD

Why don't you elaborate as to why you think it's a great book and why you'd reccomend it to anyone?
