I loved eagle strike but i love all the books equally so i dont know which 1 to put at the bottom!! I just put a random order!! But i loved eagle strike 99.9999999999% and all the other books 100% because I did not find cray to be a good villan because a villan has to be hated by other people also and ( if you have not read eagle strike then its a spoiler for you) someone important dies ( if you have read Eagle strike then you will know. But overall that book was good.
PS - If you are thinking alex dies you are wrong

Probably the both best and worst book of the series was Scorpia Rising. It for one left Alex a complete orphan.

I totally agree with you alwaysalexrider.  It was absolutely extreme emotion, you hate and love it.  It was the best and worst.

It was kind of hard to decide weather i loved the book because that I was scared the whole time for Alex because, of course, it was the final  cry book.

Has anyone else noticed that orphans have all the fun?

though it can be argues that their lives are pretty horrendous as well Tongue
dying nearly every other day and seeing others die too....
as much as i love action.... maybe too much for an orphan though

No, it's horrible for Alex. Always thinking of what could have been.

But still, Alex Rider and Harry Potter are both orphans and look at them!

It's true.  Orphans have all the fun.
No, it's horrible for Alex. Always thinking of what could have been.

You make it sound all dramatic. Of.............*looks off into the distance* what could have been.
Notice: sabina is not an orphan. Exhibit a: no one loves her.
Most would want to strap her on the hood of their car like a deer.

But don't you guys think that the whole 'orphan' thing just makes it easier for the story to move along? I mean, if John and Helen had lived, SCORPIA wouldn't have been able to manipulate Alex, and there's no way MI6 could have gone anywhere near him... Unless you have a brainwave.

Well I'm not necessarily saying the book wouldn't be good if Alex wasn't an orphan.  I'm not saying he isn't tortured. I feel really bad for Alex.  I still think Alex would have gotten into the supposed family business inevitably.  Without trying to.  All the books wouldn't be as good if Alex wasn't a spy

I think authors do that absolutely on perpose because it's a lot easier to write a book without having to explain why the parents aren't there all the time.

Exactly.  It's easier to get a feel for a book when you feel emotionally connected or saddened to or by a character.  Alex is so relatable.  Besides the fact he's a teen spy.  If all teens could become a spy, I wouldn't be in school.
