haha, too true. I bet most girls wanted to kill her and take Alex for themselfs. haha.
I don't really mind that they put Sabina in the movie... There's not really anything that I can do about it, so why complain?

I've never much liked Sabina...but I figure out why! Theres a girl I know whose like a blonde, American Sabina, and she hates me, I hate her. Now I am cured of my Sabina hatred, but I still don't appreciate that she was in the movie. Not just because I like Alex Pettyfer (and trust me, I do), but because there really was no point. He didn't need to ride a horse. It wasn't that exciting...really. He could have done something else..

Sasha wishes that Sabina was put in later movies so Sasha could have auditioned...*evil laughter* Sasha finds it funny that you critizize (Sasha can't spell) stuff like hand holds in a movie. Sasha does that all the time!!

It was really funny when I saw that part in the cinema the first time... my brother said "She's going to pull his pants down!" lol I can't believe that didn't happen, she was pulling quite hard on Alex's pants ^^
I also believe that they should not have included that part with Sabina going to Sayle Tower either. They should have kept to the original draft of Mr. Horowitz's script with Herod (I think they should have kept that name) getting Alex in the taxi... So what if that would not be as fast paced as the film's final version, it was a good ending! The action part with Alex escaping and going to London would have been enough, in my opinion. Completely suitable for the type of thing the series is - it is no typical spy series.

Yup, they made the changes because they thought that having a girl in it would be likable for a girl audience - exactly the opposite, the girls didn't want to see Pettyfer with a girl! LoL

So true!!!!!! Dang like everday I watch little part of AROS just to see Alex...ahh sigh

Her lines were stupid too. "They made me sign the Official Secrets Act," one minute and the next she's saying casually in the midst of a busy school, "Are you really a spy?!"
Official Secrets Act. The hint's in the name.

Hey, I know lots of people are upset about Sabina in the movie. And the horse riding thing (at least Alex was behind her, not the one steering). But I'm glad that the change was made. Slight tangent. I was google searching Tintin a year ago, in the news section (Speilberg is making a movie about Tintin-search him if you want to know what I'm talking about) and Anthony Horowitz popped up. It just so happened that when he was answering questions about Stormbreaker, he had mentioned that he read Tintin as a kid. I then decided to check the movie web site out. I am very suspicious of new books. (Almost all of my books come from authors that are dead.) BUT when I saw that it had a girl riding a horse...I love horses, own one, and read horse books, so I had to check out Alex Rider. I didn't care that the books have little to do with horses. I was hooked. And I have spread the word about Alex Rider.
So, Sabina and her horse, although twisting things up and causing hatred,
has created a slowly growing population of Alex Rider fans in America.
End of speech.
P.S. I am not offended that Alex Rider doesn't like to ride horses. Ironic that his last name is Rider.

It's cool in the movie book, they explain some of the stuff. The directors and producers etc. strongly encouraged some of the changes. With the names, at least one was out of their control. The real MI6 asked them not to use Crawly's name, so it was changed to Crawford. Kinda cool, I think. And Anthony didn't think Micky Rouke looked like a Herod. So he picked Darius, which I think is cool because in the Christian Bible, Herod is an enemy, and Darius is the king who ordered Daniel thrown into the lion's den. On the soundtrack when Alex is being driven to Sayle's place, the song is titled Into The Lion's Den.
With the fight, the people just couldn't pass it up with having Alicia Silverstone and Missie Pyle working together without fighting. Crazy.
Just some explinations. Oh, by the way, I love the movie and enjoy trying to defend it.

i don't hav a problem with the fact that she was brought in early, but the fact that she already knows hes a spy isn't fair!
her and alex were 'sposed to have a huge fight in Scorpia! i was looking forward 2 that!

I think that they screwed up the whole plot because
a) sabina was in it
b) they got all the names wrong
c) they put in random bits like jack starbright and nadia vole fighting
i just couldn't understand why that stupid fight scene with jack & nadia was in the movie! i mean it was ridiculous!! it ruined the whole movie!! but maybe Tamara_Knight was right about the alicia s. & missie p. thing..........
