Why did they put Sabina Pleasure in Stormbreak if she doesn't arrive until Skeleton Key?

As far as I understand, she was brought in early because of the american producers [?] wanting there to also be a female in the movie.. kind of like a damsel in distress? or more like a distraction.. it's what most movies have.

Yeah, Dilan's right, Anthony said that his produces and stuff said that half the people going the see Stormbreaker would be females, so they preferred to have Sabina come in a bit earlier, and apparently Anthony said that he said he thought there was no harm bringing her in a little earlier. Well Bye!

I heard another one of the reasons that Sabina was brought in was because when Alex needed to get to Sayles tower they wern't sure how to do it. Anthony came up with the idea of riding on a horse to get there. It was a good idea but Alex doesn't ride until Point Blank so they thought Sabina could be riding by and he could catch a ride with her. Something like that anyway.

yeah i think i saw that from one of the special features on the DVD.
i just read the script for the movie and in the script Sabina seemed to be very confused with her feelings about Alex. first she was like standing up for him and checking him out, then she turns him down when he asks her out. and near the end when they're dangling from sayle tower, she says she doesn't trust him but then when they get back to school she kisses him! make up your mind already!

Thats SILLY! Horse riding is the ONE thing that Alex isn't supposed to be good at, and they put it in! Typical. |

I think they could have made the movie better by following the book a bit more and not cutting some of the more exciting parts out.

Yup, they made the changes because they thought that having a girl in it would be likable for a girl audience - exactly the opposite, the girls didn't want to see Pettyfer with a girl! LoL  |
