((SPOILERS FOR BOOK 1, 2, 3 and 4))
I think that Matt is Chaos. Think about it.
Pedro is Meco Paco
Jamie and Scott are decendant of Native Americans
Scarlet is Mo Ling (or something...)
So, Matt is Chaos or his REAL name. Why else wouldn't he reveal it...?
Yeah, so I think that Richard will have to kill Matt with the knife after he or Scott turns evil.
Hope not but would be quite good!!
Plus, I think Scott is going to turn. Plus, I think that he was deliberately not helping when Pedro nearly got killed in Prof. Chambers House...

but doesnt it say that richard will regret using the knife? that he will hate the inca's for giving it to him?

it does sound most likely he will have to kill one of the five.. or someone close

i nonw but i thought it was richard who was meant to use the knife. and couldn't he be killed by something other than that knife? and isn't he the only one who can find it deliberately.

Or he has to sacrifice himself...ouch!
surely one of the five could do that easily enough for him... why would he need a special sword?
