If you think back to Evil Star, when Riichard, Matt, and Pedro were in the Inca city. Richard was given a knife, and was told that he would regret ever having that knife. What do you think will happen involving Richard and that knife?

Yeah...or another of the five. Though Matt seems the most likely.

Richard and Matt have a much stronger relationship than Richard and Pedro, so it would seem more likely if Matt is sacrificed by Richards knife

i suppose, but they have three books to get closer, and just cos matt and richard are close it doesn't mean that matt has the most chance of being sacrificed, it just means that it would be more tragic.

matt is the leader though...it would be a much stronger sadcrifice if he were sacrificed.

but that might not be the meaning of the knife at all, perhaps it's just a knife treated in a way that it can kill old ones, where regular weapons can't, so he has to use it to protect matt rather than sacrifice him

but it is a sacrificial knife, specifically designed for that job, so someone will most likely be sacrificed.

i guess, but the Inca prince said that he would regret ever having that knife, and i dont think that richard is going to regret killing the old ones with it

that's what i was tryin to remember! i knew there was a quote like that!

maybe it is only described as a ritual knife, i dont know100%, but if its used if a ritual then it is most likely for sacrifices
