There were 3 seperate quiz topics lounging about on the forum.  I've decided to create one general one, all about Anthony Horowitz and his work.  I've also placed this in general discussion so that people will not use this in order to boost their post count.

First some rules:

• You must only post if you are answering and/or asking a question.(all posts other than these wll be deleted, unless it's correcting a wrong answer)
• You can only ask the next question when you have answered the previous question correctly.
• You must only answer a question if you are certain of your answer.
• Spelling does not matter in answering the questions (for instance, if someone puts down devril in stead of deverill it still counts)
• When asking a question, make sure that there is only one possible answer.
• Do not ask combined questions (such as : what did alex do there and why.  just ask what or just ask why)
• If the correct answer has not been given in 1 day you may give a hint, by editing your post

Rainbowstar, can we put this in other works or somewhere as the people who are most interested in this kind of thing do not actually visit General Discussion.

we could except i'm afraid that people might start to use this to up their postcount when we do

But it's fun and the board needs more of it, and having every fun topic locked because people might use it to up their count leads to the lack fo new members actually staying on. I really think you should trial it and if it suspected after that of being used to up the post count then move it back to GD

i'm sorry but my opinion on this is that if they're not staying jsut because there aren't any games, they're not the kind of members we need.  people who are members here should be members because they are truly interested in the work of AH, not because they get to play fun forum games here, even if those games have something to do with alex rider or whatever.
and i'm not locking this, i started the topic, and i brought it here because there were 3 different quiz topics and none of them were actually much to do with the quiz, was mainly just people saying they didn't know the answer.

has anyone even looked at the rules in the first post?

I specifically brought it here for a reason.  In all the other topics that there were like this there is a notice that it was moved to here.  People who don't really come on this forum much can come to this topic through those links and then click on notify, so that they will be kept up to date.

If i put this in other works, and this is mainly going to be about alex, power of 5 and diamond brothers (which i suspect, as most members only read those), it is not in the right category either, now is it.  However if i put it in any of the other categories like say i put it in alex rider, and then the questions about power of 5 start coming, then there is the same problem.  Did you think I just decided to put this here willy nilly?  I have thought about this you know.  And since there is the option of being notified of replies in a specific topic, i didn't think people who don't come on here often would mind that much, as they can just use that to see if there's a new post or not

and also, i asked in moderator guidelines that if there's a question or issue about a moderator's decision to please tell it to said moderator in PM and not in public.
(sorry if i'm snappy, i didn't mean to be, but the way my life is going right now i did not have the time nor the patience to go and look for a way to sugarcoat what i still had to say)

right if you guys can't even play this by the rules what's the point in having it?  and the some of you wonder why the 'fun topics' et locked so often...

next time anyone goes off topic, i'm locking this.  ditto with if anyone breaks the rules again.  a hint could have been given a long time ago.  if no hint appears by tomorrow then i'm going to take rockonrider's question as the one you gotta answer
