I think I found it, but as I said I can't get it. Since its rare, the library doesn't lend it out. The facts that it's an english book can't help either; not that there are a lot of famous Canadian writers. My favourite would have to be J. McCurdy Fitzgerald, but she's about the only fiction/fantasy Canadian writer I know. Maybe if I knew more, she'd be lower on the list, but she's all I've got to choose from. Serpent's Egg, Burning Crown, Twisted Blade, Fire Demons, Black Pyramid...

OK, sorry for the double post but....I've just finished this book, the hooded man, and ti's not at all like I remember.  Strange really....or maybe he did 2 robin of sherwood books?

Anyways the plot of the one I read recently   WARNING: posisble SPOILER

It's a year after Robin Hood is killed.  Herne, the forest spirit, choses someone else to step into Robin's place, as without Robin, the Sheriff of Nottingham can do whatever he wants.  Robert, son of an earl, is chosen, and it is his task to bring all of the outlaws, and Marion, back together to continue Robin's work

It's an adaptation of a TV script, as I understand it, but it wasn't too bad.  Some of the word play are typical AH, and it's a good read, though not as riveting as I'm used to of Anthony

There are indeed four books about Robin Hood of which one is written by AH, this is the order they go in:

- Robin of Sherwood by Richard Carpenter
- The Hoods of Lucifer by Robin May
- The Hooded Man by Anthony Horowitz
- The Time of the Wolf by Richard Carpenter

Anyway, I'm now reading it. It's quite nice, but not special or something.

You see if i wasnt so lazy I would think of something more creative and inspiring to write, but the sad truth is I'm really lazy and just not bothered right now.
