Right after reading Scorpia, my friends and I thought Alex had really died. We were so dissapointed we tried to think of ways that AH might continue the series such as a Prequel Series (starring his dad or Ian as the main character), or using the background of a similar person such as Mr. Blunt, Mrs. Jones, or Jack Starbright. I wanna know what everyone else thinks. What do think AH would do if Alex died and he really wanted to continue the series?

I know this kind of an odd topic, but I just wanted to give it a shot. If it doesn't work I'll lock/remove it, and I guess I won't be too dissapointed if a mod locks/removes it. I hope you guys can just let it stay for the time being.  grin Thanks!

Well i thnk the idea of Ian and John is something i would find interesting, but i really hope he wouldn't bring Alex back as some sort of science fiction character, becasue i would lose intrest then. I like Ah's books becasue of the realistic element each book holds and so something like Alex as a ghost or a spirit would be something i would disagree with.

Now, he could also introduce a new series to the world, which would be awesome, becasue i know there so many more interesting ideas he has for stories and there good be some good books if he introduced a new series with similarities to Alex Rider

I think it would be very hard to continue the series with an adult as main character and still have it appeal to the same age group

What if one of Alex's friends became a spy.  That would appeal to the same age group and have sab playing the new spy.  I think this would be a good idea because I haven't yet come across a book with a girl being the spy.    cool But i hope Alex Rider does not die in any books to come.

what I meant was when they were younger maybe? Hmmm... I don't know, just brainstorming. Yeah, i like the idea that just like at the begging of stormbreaker Tom ivestigates Alex's death and then he figures out and MI6 would recruit him! That would be weird though, AH would have to try hard to think up a brand new personality for a new main character.

it would be kl if Tom became a spy and then his brother helped him like he did Alex!!!!!! But i still prefer it with Alex alive but it would be interesting to read what would of happened if he had died, if you get what i mean???!!!!!!!!!

Yeah and tom also has parents which might make it hard for him to be a spy.

I don't really like this topic as Alex is the main character and didn't die so why come up with impossible specualtion. If Alex had of died the series would have ended

It was just a little experiment of mine. I agree with you SUPERMAN and Flit, I mean Anthony himself said he doesn't like killing off his characters. But I just wanted to know what you guys thought. smiley

To me it's more of a who would you like to know more about sort of question. Would you like to read about John Rider's adventures or something else involving another character...
Personally I did like the scene with John Rider and Yassan in eagle strike even though it took me forever to figure out who the people were in that scene.
