this is what happened when i was reading evil star.

it was the part where matt meets sebastian. it says that "his english accent was unattractive."

at first i didn't think much then i realised that sebastian is peruvian and he can't possibly have an english accent because he has not lived in england or otherwise he would know where york is (it said that seb did not know where york was, only london). so this got me thinking . . . why would a peruvian man living in a shanty town have an unattractive ENLGISH accent?HuhHuh i'm thinking that it meant to say spanish and that maybe the english thing was just a typo. but i'm not sure. i'm not sure because it might be just be a mistake that happened in my copy of evil star and not in any other copies.

can someone check and see if their copy of evil star also says that sebastion has an english accent?

There is also another mistake, i think. In my copy of Evil Star, when Matt is thinking about the other gatekeepers he sees, mine says that the other three were all blonde-haired and fair. And that he thought that they were possibly scandinavian. When in reality, every gatekeeper has black hair. I just think it was a little error. Tell me if any of you noticed that too, or if I am just dilusional.  tongue

Well, generally, when people learn English, they learn English English, not American English. There's an exchange student here from...well honestlly, I'm not sure, and she said that when she came here, she had to relearn English because she couldn't understand anyone unless they spoke in an English accent!

What really happens (because my German exchange students learnt American English) is that maybe their English teacher was English. That happens with Europian coutries. Because my German exchange student can't understand my English friend (A bit off Topic but my English friend's name IS English!  grin grin) at all. maybe that's what happened anyway.

My book just says that his accent is unatractive. It never said his accent was English. That might just be the american version though.

It just means he spoke bad English (i think).
Also i think i found something (not exactly an error but...) Well in the dream world Matt hears Pedro speak English instead of Spanish and vice versa. But Pedro sometimes says things in Spanish and then explains their meanings. Do you think there's a reason for this or is this just a plot hole.
