Due to what seems an excessive amount of one word posts and useless posts, that seem to only result from the want for a higher post count/number of stars/rank, all posts in the General Discussion forum will no longer count towards your post count (apart from the ones posted before this measure was put into place, of course).
Please do not spam the other boards because of this.
As Xero, myself, and most of the other moderators have said or certainly think, rank shouldn't be important to you and all posts should be worthwhile.
Please remember that the moderating crew is here if you have any questions or problems, and that countless other members are willing to help. PM lines are open until the 32/13. Calls cost 0p/€/$/your currency.

edit: DM: yep =] Xero has stated that post counts will/have been brought back to the General Discussion board, however, if we see that people are spamming/abusing this, then they will have to face the consequences =] Thanks

I agree with you about the postcount thing but why just the general discussion? in some topics like politics and philosophy people do post really interesting and important things

And to add to that, if we allowed topics like the attic or Couples, this would lead to spamming (there already is enough as it is!) which in turn leads to greed for higher post counts... Nice decision Hydra!

Well post count was good, yeah. We had our milestones and all. But honestly, how many of inf's posts are actually about Anthony's books? People should be rewarded with extra stars for helping other people with the books, not just for chatting.
I'll admit the fact that I spend 98% of my time on General Discussion. But I agree that my posts shouldn't be counted. It doesn't bring anything useful to this board. I just like talking with you all, and I don't need stars to show it.

Tristan: yes it probably does, but why does anyone care about that either? If you have a good idea for a topic, you post it whether or not it's counted.
