yeah hypnotized by a pen. woo hoo (not). They probably didn't have enough money to create the plane explosion.
so instead they had a completely unrealistic pen thingy |

when alex lifts himself on the plane, he quietly crept behind mr. Grin and took out this fountain pen with a dart he twisted the pen and a dart shot out of it aimed at Mr grin's neck. Alex then had control over Grin and anything alex told him to d he would do it...he used it to tell grin to head back to london to the science museum.

in the read book he puts his smoke bomb behind Mr. Grin and jumps out of the plane, when he sees the plane circling around he blows up the smoke bomb wireless with his Nintendo DS, and Mr. Grin looses control of the plane.

so yeah it is kinda dissapointing as people can see...but like AH said "Forty million dollars will only go so far" it the was a scene where grin lost control and crashed...there would be so much more money involved.

Yeah but i thought that the movie was too short. It could have been much longer. I guess because we've read the book we expected more in the movie.

Yeah the cartridge bomb would have been much better for the movie. The pen didn't create any excitement.
DId he ever use the cartridge bomb in the movie? |

Well he was given the nintendoDS but he didn't use the cartridge to blow up the plane like it was in the book
