Why Yassen would kill Ian Rider?(Ian is Alex’s uncle and John’s brother) Didn’t Yassen know Ian is John’s brother?

as a contract killer i don't think you ask that many questions.  He got told to kill him, so he killed him.  It's possible that ian used a pseudonym when investigating harod sayle as well

also, this is from stormbreaker so i'm moving it to the right place

Well actually Yassen knew falsely that Alex's father worked for scopia maybe he thout that Ian Rider and Alex's father were enemies. Anyway yeah he wouldn't really say no to killing someone anyway because he's a contract killer. sad

And if he did know he was he probaly wouldn't care. He didn't know him and he wroks for MI6. So i think that they wouldn't be close friends anyway. With John dead I don't think it matters.

but ian was working undercover, so he wouldn't have given his last name....it was probably only afterwards that he would realise who it was...

My brother said that Yassen once told Alex that he doesn't care who kills, just as long as he's paid. (Is that in Eagle Strike?)

Maybe Yassen just want some money, to support his family.

grin Yes, let's think the best of Yassen. Though, I'd hate to be his kid on "Take Your Child to Work Day".

It was Junior's visit to daddy's workplace. Yesh.
