I didn't say it wouldn't be good, I said it would be different. I just think it would get a little messy if he found out about the double cross, and John Rider being with MI6.
I mean, who would Yassen side with? Alex / John or Scorpia?
And if he didn't find out, what would he do when Scorpia turned against Alex?
Him being there just takes the book in a whole different direction.

I do agree it would have been cool, but it just doesn't work for me... too complicated with all the emotions and all the rest of it...

the emotions are what make the characters interesting to read about... I reckon it wouldn't be complicated... maybe if you couldn't follow the plot ^__^ but I mean, come on...
I just think yassen would have made the book more interesting. I think it was a bit predictable... and it would have been cool Yassen knowing about the double-agent thing... And I reckon he would have sided with Alex, I mean, he was thinking about retiring from Scorpia anyway...

...predictable? *Spoiler alert* I certainly didn't predict the whole John Rider was an assassin, no, actually he was an undercover spy, he died on Albert Bridge, no he didn't, is he still alive? he isn't, storyline...

Anyway, it would be interesting, but it would probably end up having not much to do with Alex or the teenage spy thing, which is what the books are really about.

it would; think about it. If Yassen persuaded Alex to join Scorpia and then left on a mission, Alex did some training, Yassen came back and helped him finish his training, then gave his his instructions for the Mrs Jones killing... and then saved his life at the end with the whole 'hot-air balloon' thing. Think about it; Alex doing less of the amazing stunts and stuff would lessen his 'Gray-stu' persona which it really annoying.

wat if both the guns had the same strength but the sniper was stronger because it had 2 be sent a long distance?and yassen wouldve still died because the plane had 2 stop and they had 2 get him 2 the hospital...so either way he wouldve died. buuuuuuuuuut alex wasnt really near a curve when he got shot..it said he was just standing there on the sidewalk and then the assassin shot him.

yeh i didnt understand how leaning down a curb could and did save him!! grr wasnt even sligtly injured  huh

I think that Yassen would actually side with scorpia. He would be angry after he found out that John Rider was lying to him and Scorpia.

I was on the verge of tears when Yassen died...not joking! He was awesome, how could Anthony jusy kill him off? He should have killed Blunt, he's useless and because of him Alex is always getting hurt...and it didn't help that Yassen told Alex that he knew his dad and that they were friends...*cries* (okay, jk about the crying, but it was still sad)
