Wicked, but I'm sure HMV won't run out of any on the day of the release. I'll just buy it then Cheesy

Thanks KathyV, now I know when it's released! Smiley

I'm gonna check if I have a multiregion one. I have a high end DVD HD thing so maybe it will be multiregional.

Most DVD players only work for the region in which they are sold; you have to specially purchase a region-free DVD player. (I'm very glad that I did - one of my all-time best decisions.) It is possible to hack some DVD players to make them region-free but I've never tried that. The link below is from the Damian-Lewis.com site and includes info about DVD regions and modifying your player to make it region free (but do it at your own risk, don't blame me if it doesn't work out!)

BTW, the Play.com site currently offering the SB R2 DVD only delivers in the UK, but if the Region 2 DVD is really going to be released on November 13th I am sure that other R2 vendors that deliver outside the UK (like Amazon.co.uk) will be offering it for pre-order soon. But overseas shipping can cost as much as the item itself, chances are the SB DVD will be available by Christmas in most regions anyway so it might be better to wait and buy it locally. KathyV

There's programs that can crack it.

Woo! Nov. 13th. Start the countdown!
Shame we don't have any word on what the extras (if any) will be yet.

Well it's gonna be a 4 month gap between the movie release and the DVD release in the UK, not too shabby...

That's gonna happen more often because of piracy. And also if films didn't do as well as hoped.

Amazon's silent at the moment, but here's another online UK retailer with the same date and RRP, but Play had a better discount:

I think that it is more likely that they want to have it available for Christmas gift giving this year.

I wish I had a region free DVD player... I asked my mom if I could maybe get one for christmas, but she said no!
I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD here!
