From what he has seen, he believed Scorpia to be a good organization who doesn't cheat.  I think it also added to it that his Dad supposedly worked for them.  But <spoiler> when he learns the truth, he goes back to MI6.

the first time i read scorpias i waas like " who worked for who? and who did they pretend to work for? it was all really puzzling.

Well, I think it might have been because he seemed to have wanted to know his dad.
So he could have been trying to find his dad in him. smiley smiley

I think Alex Rider joined Scorpia because he wanted to be like his father and he also wanted to know more about his father.. BUt i think he sould have stayed with MI6, but in the same time I'm happy that he went to see scorpia for a couple of weeks because he got alot info out of that mission.. But he almost got himself killed. At least hes alive and going to be in sneakhead.. lol..
