I don't think that if Yassen found out that John was MI6's I think yassen would just be sad but won't have any breakdown. I think he'd probably keep it to himself that he knows and still be with scorpia but still always spare Alex's life in memory of John saving him.

That's crap... Yassan just used that as an excuse. He probably would kill children if need be. He just won't kill Alex. I think he won't kill Alex because he LOOKS like his father. Alex reminds Yassan of John Rider in a way that Ian doesn't. I got the feeling that towards the end Yassan respects/admires Alex anyway. He wanted to see if Alex could escape.
