Actually it took time for pedro to fully heal matt. It took a full day or so for Pedro to heal matt the first time so it'll probably take a day or so to heal himself.

I've read the book twice now and am confused by when Pedro says " my mum always said I was born under an Evil Star. I don't know what that means" me neither Pedro. Under Evil Star is the Old Onesv so how was he born there. I could be wrong so could someone please explain this to me?

I thought that it was just a way of saying that he'd always been cursed. Not because of circumstances like being born on a certain day, but just because he'd had so many unlucky things happen to him.

I thought that it ment that the tides were turning and evil was to come back into the world and Pedro's birth marked that. Kind of like a destiny or an astrology type of thing.
