Except that the original RG was published 16 years before Hellhole.

It's basically the same, but there's no Nexus, Leaf Project, or burning toast, and Matt / Martin doesn't remember his parent's death.

oh, I know... but I checked my library today and they don't even have reference to them... and this library is connected with another 15 libraries! it's annoying and i really want to read them too...

My school library had Raven's Gate. Sounds bad, but I'd totally forgotten about the AR series. >_<;; Anyway, I snatched it (since the friend who'd showed it to me was done with it) and haven't been able to stop reading it. I thought it was interesting, a good read, good plot structure, but I had to skip over a few parts because I just wanted to move on. XD Really liked it and can't wait to read the next one.
