I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Raven's Gate. I quite enjoyed it. ALthough I like fantasy books in unreal? worlds I have to say setting it in the 'real' world was quite a change and made it seem somewhat more realistic. Overall I would say a good book and enjoyable read! (I think I like AR a bit better but I'm not saying that this is a bad book!) Hope that made sense!

You made perfect sense Gadget. I liked AR better as well. The one thing with Ravens Gate to me was that it all seemed really realistic, but then the witchcraft was thrown in. I guess I liked that fact, but it seemed like the entire book kinda changed at that point because it went from pretty realistic to fantasy. Do you know what I mean?

I thought that it was a great book, but got a bit sidetracked sometimes. i know that that doesn't make sense, but it did to me when i put it. my grade would be an 8.5 i prefered the alex rider adventures, but that might just be cuz i like the guy. lolz

So originally I was just bored and scanning the book section at the local K-Mart looking for something to read when I stopped on Raven's Gate. Thinking, why not, I picked it up and read the inside cover. Thinking it sounded promising I bought it and started reading. Well before the night was over I had finished it and was really impressed. I LOVED it, I would say the creepiest scene in the book for me would be the alley in the beginning cause it set the whole tone for me. I mean I thought the woman was going to be this sweet woman that helped him with his abilities but that went down the tubes. The way Horowitz described the look on the muggers face was soo creepy to me.
I must say I am really really really looking forward to the release of Evil Star. The moment I put the book down I was on Barnes and Noble's website trying to see if I could find a release date or anything. I am hooked and can not wait to see how the series turns out.

hey, hey! the book IS intense and CREEPY if you read it in the middle of the night (cuz you couldn't bear to put it down and go to sleep) in your room....when it's dark out....the coyotes in the open lot across your house howling....water dripping in the bathroom.... Thats what happend to me. I was up till 12 reading it.
