Alright then. I think it is an extremely good reason to read it, because AH is great! So I will, once I see it somewhere...

Really? I haven't seen that cover. The only one I've seen (online) has a red droplet, like blood, then red, white, and blue in the background and it says "Making jokes is no laughing matter".

The US cover shows three chickens crossing a road. The UK shows a bowl of alphabet soup with the letters spelling out "THE KILLING JOKE" and a dead fly on a spoon. I also think there's another UK version with a chicken seen in a rearview mirror.

Chickens? Strange... And alphabet soup? Wow, I get the feeling this will be a strange book... All the covers have something to do with a joke . . . The one with the chicken on it --"Why did the chicken cross the road?"The one with the soup --"What's this fly doing in my soup?"I just hope the book isn't as corny as its cover!

Ya, I believe we're still talking about the Killing Joke. It sounds like the book is really....different. I haven't read it yet, but just based on the plot outline and stuff, it seems to have a different style about it than most of AH's other books.

I don't know whether it's that different. If you've seen some of AH's work in TV like murder in mind and stuff than the Killing Joke definately has AH's style all over it. And there's the odd moment where you recognise the style that he uses in his 'youth' books
