I bought it in an airport. It was the one with the chicken in the rearview mirror cover. There's lots of little jokes in it, as well.
*Very minor spoiler, you might read over it in the book*
In one part a woman's nametag has the name: 'C. Lingus' on it. The next line, the bad guy calls her 'Connie'. So, who can figure out what her full name is and what adult word it resembles?
*Spoilers finished*
It was a great book.

I liked The Killing Joke! I read like a year ago, or more! It was funny but did take a while to get going.

well it's an adult book, so it's bound to be different from his other books. I thought it was more the style of his television work, which I like a lot so I don't mind

it's not meant to be scary, I don't think...I think it's more meant as a mystery book

I have to agree with Rainbowstar that a lot of his books are better than AR, but maybe that's just because I was a big fan long before he wrote AR The Killing Joke, I remember I urgued him to finally finish it, because I couldn't wait any longer. Maybe that's why he released it in Belgium around 2002

I think it would be wrong to compare the books seeing as they're really not the same sort of book, nor are they even for the same age group

you but i don't think we're just comparing this to AR...just his entire 'oeuvre'(did i spell that right...).
I dunno...to be written for a different age group it's written quite in a similar style...the only thing that really changed is that the main characters are grownups in stead of kids...
