Right, before I begin I should say that I haven't been here for a while so that is why I am making a new topic on what I have found that may have been stated on these forums before.  If this is just a copy of another topic then please do what must be done, I.e. Lock it, or merge it or whatever.
Now to the the reason I made this topic.

I have found out that the New book of the power of five is indeed called Oblivion.  AH will be finished with this book in April 2012 and the book will be released in November 2012.  There is quite a disturbing scene in the book and there is some sort of London Holocaust scene as well.  So here are the details of the next book and you can discuss away on what may occur in the books.

Oh by the way Anthony Horowtz will not be coming to the Edinburgh Book Festival as he will most likely be in Greece.

Thank you

what we know so far:
published in nov 2012
around 200,000 words? about 400 pages...
London Holocaust,
Australia does no longer exist
Dubai ten years from now will be featured
Anthony mentioned a possible title of the book being: THE FIVE, later changed it for Oblivion
Anthony spent time i Greece writing the book, Crete is specifically mentioned and a 'tricky chapter', Anthony visited Santorini as well
Anthony plans a trip to Antarctica
chapter 3 of the book will be called 'blood and sand', 'the mother of all wars' was an alternative

anything I've missed?

If it is 200,000 words...it will be far more than 400 pages

Snakehead was 100,000 words and 400 pages...

Here's the link in which it says that AH has hidden the first chapter of oblivion on the website.  The clue is "Charles Dickens House".
tell us where it is if you find it please or at least give us hints!

OK so that was easy, I found it already.  It's the first chapter alright.  I'll give you one clue, it is definitely on the link I have sent on my previous message.

P.S.  I know double posting is not allowed but I just wanted to show you how fast I found it!

Your welcome!

I've read the sample now and I'm a little confused.  If you've read it you'll now what I mean.  Why is it written the way it is?

Yes - I know what you mean - It's different from the others... I'm not sure I prefer this style - I mean it's ok, but I think that the startings of the other ones were more effective. I also think that it's a bit strange how it's written from someone's point of view (who isn't one of the five, even), and how she keeps talking half in past tense, half in the present... Would you agree with me? Also, I'm wondering whether She'll narrate the whole thing, or whether that's just the first chapter... Or maybe alternate chapters?

Also, Hi  grin I've never 'talked' to you before - nice to meet you - and even though you're not new (it looks like you joined before me) welcome back and I hope you stay cheesy
