I just finished both of the books that are currently out and I'm just wondering what legacies people think numbers 5 and 8 might have? So everyone throw your ideas out there and whatever other information you would like to add!! cheesy

Eh, I wasn't really too fond of these books. I like the plot but the writing irritates me no end... but it does have its cool moments. SPOILERRRRRRRRRRRR I really liked Seven and Ten!

Also, why was it called the Power of Six, anyway? Six wasn't really that big a deal. It should have been called the Power of Seven or Six Appears Occasionally and Does Cool Stuff.

I read I am number 4. It was okay. I will read the Power of Six these holidays. YAY!!!

But they are not that bad...just a bit over hyped. The film was terribly unfaithful to the books though...and I kept having to tell myself "THIS IS NOT ALEX RIDER!!!"

I know same here. You watch the movie and can't help but think about Alex Rider. I watched the I Am Number 4 movie with my family and each time something was off form the book I would mention it and my family was getting mad at my comments every 30 seconds or so. I thought the book was pretty good though.

Oh, NEVER! Alex Rider outclasses Number Four any day, even with all his fancy-legacies! -diehardfanness-

Mind, I didn't think Stormbreaker was that faithful to the books either.

ANYWAY. Yeah, they are rather over-hyped. Plus the whole "written by Pittacus Lore" thing...

Who would I be... If I'd never met Alex Rider?

I kinda like the Pittacus Lore thing. Maybe he did it because he thought that his books might be very unpopular, and it was just in case, you know... so that no-one would know who wrote the bad book? But that can't be the answer... He must know his books are liked after the I Am Number Four movie!

People like weird names. Also, it adds to the mystery. I don't think they (male or female) did it because they were scared the book would be bad. Many people change their names for their books. Some do it so that they don't get associated with previous novels. Maybe it's Stephanie Meyer! No-one would buy the books if they knew that was the true author!!!

Ahhh.... Good. smiley But... Inside the cover it did say that the book was real. Also, on the page with the small print with publishing and copyright, blah blah, it didn't have that bit that says
This is a work of fiction and if any events in this book are real, they are used fictitiously....

It's not. The story is based on many things happening in the media. These things did not happen.

I think that's the reason... apparently the guy who wrote I Am Number Four wrote a book before (A Million Little Pieces) and there was a huge scandal because he said the events were real and they weren't...
