Do you think Alex might do or attempt suicide? I read this thing:

I completely disagree there. But I don't think it'll happen just because of the age group the books are targeted for...But I bet we'll see in this book that Alex is no where near as strong and mentally stable as we think.

Unfortunately, when you're unstable it's not your choice to show it or not. It just comes out.
I think everyone is forgetting Alex wanted to commmit suicide before. Read the Bell Tower chapter in Scorpia if you don't remember.

As my last post said, you're forgetting that Alex has already had suicidal thoughts. So it'd be nothing new. To actually attempt it is different but he HAS thought about it. He was going to hurl himself off of the Bell Tower to end a his suffering...

I don't think your remembering that at that time Alex was very emotionally unstable due to the fact that he thought his father was an ASSASSIN!

Exactly. And this time, something happens that is WORSE THAN DEATH. Even worse than in Scorpia. So he could easily feel suicidal again.
