If you think about it, how much credit does Mi6 have for Alex's missions? I mean, look at Eaglestrike and snakehead...

They take the credit for all of the missions, after all Alex is their operative.

They are defenitly responsible for all the missions. Even if they didn't force him to go on some of them they still brought him into the spy world and at a delacate age.
