Anthony Horowitz said in a interview that a old villain will come back.who do you think it will be?

I think everyone is pretty sure it'll be Yassen, since he also said " A villain brought back by popular demand " and no villain was really that popular besides him. And it just fits, too.

May I point something out? As much as I too would love Yassen to come back too, Horowitz also says that he likes to keep his books as real as possible. Yassen coming back from the dead is definitely not realistic.

Of course he can't come back from the dead, but where is the proof he was actually dead? It is widely believed that he staged his own death.

This could have easily just been discussed in the Alex Rider 9 topic...

but I think it'll be Yassen as well.  I don't think that he ever died.  He was shot but then he said some things to Alex and Alex had to leave him there and we never saw him again.  We also have many signs in the books that make it seem like he'd want to fake his own death because he was sick of the spy world and that's pretty much the only way out.  The popular demand thing only makes it seem that way even more because none of the other villains have ever even been discussed really.

And as far as the "as realistic as possible" thing goes, well there were clones.  Yassen still being alive is much more realistic than clones.  Speaking of clones though, Alex's clone is kind of in the same situation, he could also be the villain. I don't really see either of them as villains though.  Especially the clone.

Well, I went back and read that part of Eagle Strike and I admit, he could have lived. That would be extremely interesting though!

Ya Yassen isn't really a villian. I mean he might be considered one, and it is possible that Mr. Horowitz will bring him back- especially sense their really isn't anyone else that fits that discription.

Hmm...a lot of people seemed to like Sarov as a villain, that could make sense for the popular demand part but Alex saw him die, so I don't see how he'd return. Unless he somehow survived shooting himself in the head.

Harod Sayle (Yassen killed him. I doubt he's alive)
Dr.Grief (since when do you survive an exploding helicopter?)
General Sarov (Shot in the head, he's dead)
Damian Cray (Well unless he's somehow found a way to piece his body back together, he's dead)
Julia Rothman (Isn't she as flat as a pancake?)
Drevin (I really doubt he survived the crash)
Ash (Most definitely dead)

You forgot Major Yu. He could be alive but with every bone broken, he's useless. If Yassen can still be alive, so can ASH. They both " died " the same way, being shot in an area other than the head. And I'm sure ASH is a popular villain. He is to me, anyway.

Yes, its definatly between Yassen and Ash. The only difference between the two is that I was actually happy Ash died.
