ok so if you look at the po5 symbol (below) its five circles surrounded by another. what if this mean that there is another person like a protector, so what if there is? i think there'd gotta be or there'd never really be the big circle. this was somebody else's idea that's not on the board

Isn't the ACTUAL Power of Five symbol a pentagram, instead of the picture thing there... That's just the one for the books, not their symbol...

Even so it not being the actual power of five symbol it could mean a number of things. They could've put some thought into this.
1. The five inner circles could be the Gatekeepers and the outer circle could Represent Richard. He has been with Matt from the start and he also has the Tumi.
2. It could represent the protection of five and with it being a circle it is never ending. It seems there is always people trying to help them even if they end up dying someone else turns up. But I would find this unlikely as noone can protect them from the OLD ONES.
3. I was also thinking if it were soley for the purpose of the book the people(who created the cover) could have just put the five circles but then i would just seem strange. They could have added the 6th circle to get us thinking or just for the presentation of the book.

Will we ever find out?

maby we will in the last book but maby the outer circle represents the five finding each other and defeating chaos or it could be what matt meant like when he said time is in a circle so it could mean that wat ever happened before will happen again so it might be a clue?

the sumbol means nothing. It was just a cover designer working for the publisher who looked at the words "The Power of 5" written next to Ravens Gate and went:

If you read the books it is different...

Yeah, in the books the symbol is a Pentagram... a five-pointed star.

And NightRise, that's the sections of Book Five.... Ice, Fire, Water, Earth, Air... not in that order....

Still I think that the 5 pointed star had a ring around it, which could mean that they're all connected through the dream world and by their powers.  I still don't get how the elements fit into the symbol, Ice, Water, Fire, Air, Earth.  I can see how some of the elements fit in but not that well.  It's all very confusing.

i nver thought about the symbol before, only thought of it as something that represent the five gatekeepers.... who knows there might be more to it than we think.
my mind is fuzzy but i think there was another symbol besides the pentagram... it was mentioned in the raven's gate

Wasn't that the symbol for the old ones???  It was on the cover of Raven's Gate I think.  The five only had the pentagram as their symbol.
