In Snakehead, Joe Byrnes {Or whatever} said the ASIS sent a teenager on a mission and the kid was killed INSTANTLY...
So the experiment was never repeated again...
WOW~
haha i like to think that was cody banks. (the movie one not the book.) It would be possible to train kids as spies only it would be insanely difficult and cost a helluva lot of money.
Yep, much cheaper to kill off adults...
Just to get back on topic; overall I don't really think the time lining up is that important. In this case, it doesn't affect the story so it's ok if a few times are off.

yeah in fact most stories are anyway
but I don't hink most people really notice the timeline
for example in one stpry I read the author kept the character in the same class to aviod her getting graduated (though in the end she did )
so my point it as annoying as I find it sometime I don't think it matters that much

Yeah~
When you're so absorbed into the story, you wouldn't really bother about investigating the time anymore...
Although I must say, I was awfully confused with the time when I was reading The Alchemyst
-BOT: Who cares about the timeline? It's the contents of the book that counts

I's agree! And really, the time frame doesn't matter. You shouldn't have to pay attention to the time unless it is crucial.

The only book {in my opinion} in the whole series to have really talked about time......would probably be Scorpia.

Yeah. And I only started reading the Alex Rider's this year so he's still like growing up with me, even though at one point we were at the same time of year and now he's all the way into february. But yeah it's true I don't actually really notice the timeline and he's Alex Rider he can do anything! And that is the only reason MI6 are using him becuase he looks young and innocent, if he grew up then the point of him being a spy wouldn't work, he'd be more suspected.

according to Christmas at Gunpoint AR had to go on PB mission 5 months after Christmas, so if you think about it the timeline doest quite add up at all. but then again as long as the story is good, who cares

I think it's fine. Really not the most unrealistic that's happened in this series!! That goes to Yassen not wearing a bulletproof vest!!!

maybe yassen was over confident about his skills and thought that he could have dodged the bullets. but that thinking isn't like Yassen...
