Well it's not like you could not do what you did do. You either did do it, or you didn't but why say something if you don't do it? Easier to not say it and therefore have no need to not do it. You see what i mean?

I'm not talented enough for this but can anyone see an actor, character meeting thing?

I agree with you Tiggs, and Bingo, just because Alex's gadget was a Harry Potter book doesn't make him a Potter fan; Smithers probably chose it because it's, like, the most well known children's series. Alex is SO awesome, why on EARTH would he think HARRY POTTER was cool?!  huh

Let's do a who's the coolest scenario with the main characters: Alex, Harry, and Matt

Harry: I'm the coolest. I know magic. I slayed Voldemort.
Alex: Oh yeah? I saved the world! several times!
Matt: Hey, Harry, I have powers too and I didn't have to go to school to get them! I am awesome.
Harry.....(looks fed up)
Alex: Matt, I didn't have to have powers to save the world! And I did it without 4 other people with powers!
Matt......(looks fed up)
Alex: Yeah! I am the awesomest!
(Matt and Harry look at eachother and shrug simultaneously)
Matt and Harry: Well, no one's cool as you Alex...

(Callum Ormond bursts in)
Callum: Hey! Oh. Am I late?

I always imagined a meeting with these three would go like this:

Alex: Guess what you guys.....
Harry & Matt: (sigh with exaggeration) what?
Alex: I'm a SPY  cool (poses in a godly fashion)
Matt: Really? Cool.
Harry: (sticks his nose up snobbishly) oh yeah? Well guess what...
Alex & Matt: What? (again, said Matt half-heartedly)
Harry: (getting excited) I'm.....I'm.....I'm........
Alex and Matt lean in close to hear.
Matt: hurry up and spill already!
Harry: I'm.....A WIZARD!!! (pants from his effort to reveal)
Matt and Alex stare for a bit.
Harry slowly comes out of breathlessness and waits for the awestruck looks but instead....
Matt & Alex: (stare at each other.....snort....) HAHAHAHAHAAAAHHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
Harry looks dejected.
Alex: A wizard (hehehe), who do you think you are? Harry bloomin' Potter? HAHAHAHA
Harry: yes.....Yes...YES THATS EXACTLY WHO I AM YOU PLONKER! I'M HARRY POTTER AND I'VE GOT THE SCAR TO PROVE IT (shows off scar)
Alex: yes, yes, that's all good and stuff but really.....is that all you've got? A drawn on arrow on your head? seriously?
Harry: (splutters indignantly, trying to come up with a clever reply) YEAH WELL ITS TRUE!!!!
Alex: (sighs wearily)They don't exist, ok? spy is a REAL profession not something i nerded up from a dumb obsession ok?
Harry: (looks up with cold eyes) you don't know what i've been through....i've fought volde-
Alex: Oh get over yourself!!
Harry: you didn't even let me finish!!! (he yells close to tears)
Alex: oh come on! If your a wizard then.....Matt may well be....oh i don't know......*light bulb!*.....a GOD (!)
Matt who was rolling on the floor laughing in tears from their argument suddenly looked up with a serious expression on his face
Matt: ..........But i am a God
Harry & Alex:.....
Alex: oh dear.....where are the men in white when you need them? (he mutters half0heartedly)
Matt: (looks at Harry closely and gasps) WOoow. You are Harry Potter, you've got the wand and everything.
Alex: (slowly begins to loose sanity) He....is not.....Harr-
Matt: Jamie, tell me if this guys Harry Potter or not?
Jamie: (looks deep into Harry's eyes) you've.......got your mothers eyes (gasp) you are Harry Potter!!!
Harry smiles triumphantly knowing Matt will take his side and misses catching Alex as he faints from lack of common sense from, both of them......including Jamie cheesy
