there has probably  to do with the stormbraker sucked so bad i think on the movie side they should have made it more like the book

All who say that it wasn't like the book..... SHUT UP. It's a well known fact that movie adaptations of books are never the same. Don't expect it. Personally I greatly enjoyed the Alex Rider movie but it was mostly because of the actors. Looking back, look at who they had... the guy from the American TV show Life played Yassen. Ewan Mcgregor played Ian. Alicia Silverstone played Jack. And MICKEY FRIGGIN ROURKE played Dairus Sayle. All star cast? You bet. So I encourage you to watch the movie again. Who knows? You might just notice something new that you like. And as far as another movie, I believe AH should simply write a script not based on any book.

From what I heard, they're not making another movie because the previous one didn't do well at the box office. But I think the number of AR fans has grown since then, and I definately think a sequel stands a chance, especially if all the fans go to see it. I've been thinking about starting a petition to make a second movie, just to show how much support it would get. What do you guys think of the idea?

The reason anthony horowitz won't make another movie is cauze the first movie wuz 2 "test the waters". in other words, it wuz an experiment 2 c if ppls wanted 2 c a movie about a teenage spy. in the end, it got pretty low appreciation. i think it would have a better movie without sabina, the horsechase and the cat fight between Jack and Nadia Vole( i thake that back, the fight wuz TOTALLY funny). Watev,cuz Alex pettyfer iz 19, way 2 old 2 play alex.

I too would love more movies. The first one was good, at least I think it was. So I don't understand why it didn't make enough money. It probably wasn't marketed well enough.

I just said this on another thread but again - Alex Pettyfer was never going to do more than one movie. Because AR is 14 - and it just takes too long to make a film for one actor to be in that stage for long enough to do two. Tragedy though, because he was sooo perfect.

To be honest I think Stormbreaker-the-movie fell apart... it just didnt take itself seriously. It tried to be too childish, too family, too star-packed *rolls eyes*... AR is more like a child Bourne than a child Bond (anyone who hasnt seen the Bourne movies - The Bourne Identity, the Bourne Supremacy and the Bourne Ultimatum - they are freaking awesome XD must see!!) And LOL stewie, all those parts you say were awful (and a few more of the worst bits) were bits AH hated and tried to make them not do, but the director etc. overruled him. Yay AH haha.

Anyway AR as a movie needs to be dark and gritty and intense... and then Alex's flippant humour comes off as so much more brilliant too - rather than sort of... 'ha.. ha..'

Lol me and friend have been planning these books as movies and obsessed with the thought of making them since we were about 13 - long before the movie of Stormbreaker (Im now 20 btw). My friend's now just finishing a BA in Film and we're stil totally in love with the idea - people who really love and know the books and want to put THEM, that story, on screen, as it is, making the films... it would be soo great XD
