WHy no more movies have been made.

Well Anthony came to my city and some one asked if there was gonna be any more movies. he said no because the guy who helped make the first one either didnt want to do it again or was a dum ass. thats why in snakehead the guy alex was gonna give his eyes to was named after the producer of Stormbreaker the movie.

i really want more movies and i thought the reason thers nt any is cause the actor 4 alex is too old... thats sad...

I thought maybe because the movie wasn't as good as the books, it's Harry Potter the movies suck but the books are great so Anthony Horowitz doesn't want that. Just a thought.

In hindsight, I love the movie and love Alex Pettyfer as Alex RIder and to me he will always be that image in my mind as I read the books or even if another movie ever gets made...no one will take his place. That said, the movie brought me to the book and I love the books a great deal. More so than the movie. The movie had great actors, great, great musical backups and soundtrack and some BETTER action scenes added including the junkyard fight scene.

However, there were some things that were better left out or left alone. The fight between Jack and the bad lady was horrible and should have been left out. It made the movie into a stupid comedy with less danger and should have been totally cut out of the movie. It was awful and that scene was embarassing.

The other thing I hated was that the corn field chase and fight was left out. Anthony is wrong about an action movie having too much action. Pehaps overblown non stop action is a bad thing as in the terrible MUMMY 2 movie. BUT in Alex Rider you can't have too much action. The books are perfect the way they are and should be filmed page for page for the most part.

ALso in hindsight, having read all tjhe books and the THREE OR FOUR SHORT STORIES that were hard to find, I think the books have a darker feel to them that the movie shuld have had. The movie was dark but the books are darker and more dangerous. I'm not sure it is right for kids to see...however, most kdis I know get to see R rated movies and whatever they want so...gearing to adults would be wrong but gearing a darker movie to kids might be too. So it's a no win situation.

I HATE ALL THE OTHER spy kid movies that use tongue in cheek to satire it all. I used to like some of them but COdy Banks ruined that and Spy Kids 3 was terrible...I thought spy kids was a dead genre but then I saw this movie and read the Alex Books nad it made me think THI S IS SPY KID DONE RIGHT!

So I doubt there will be mre Alex Rider movie right now. There might be an Alex Rider movie some time in the far future when they've exhausted all the James Bond craps and all the Bourne stuff and there are no good kid movies to choose from. The books are so visual that they'd all make a great series of movies...

Pehaps even a well made expensive TV show...?   

Unfornatley Alex Pettyfer is too old to play Alex as a kid or a teen. Maybe if they did an Alex series with him as an  adult...but then that changes it all to a James Bond clone.

They'd have to find a new kid to play Alex and tha'ts not going to be easy...

Oh and if Anhtony reads this...I DOUBT HE DOES...stop the roundhouse kicks...get Alex some new self defense moves., I the movie Pettyfer used six or more diffrent styles I think...thansk to the fight coordinator.

ahh yes the other thing about the movie: Sabina. At first, it never bothered me she was in the movie. Then I read the books and I could see why she should not have been in it. At all. Nor the horse chase. Anthony , you were correct in feeling that the horse chase was wrong for the movie. It was nice to see it but it added nothing to the story or even the action. The bad guys were not chasing them and they were not chasing the bad guys. SO why have it at all?

Personally, i would like Anthony (who was the script maker of Stormbreaker) to make another one. Some people say that he cannot get a director yet some say that there was not enough money. I liked Stormbreaker and the added junkyard bit and the assesination of Ian Rider, yet i do have to say that in some parts it was comedy, which i didn't like, because the book wasn't humourous. Also, Alex Pettifer may now be abit old for the job because i read somewhere that in Stormbreaker the movie he was really 15.

I also think that it shoudn't be rated M(for Matured Audiences)

First of all is there anyway to get in touch with anthony personally
Second another alex rider movie... bad idea
No offense the firsted one was really bad i wanted to cry after watching it not cuz it was sad but because it was horrible
Third books are always better then movies cuz in book you can make the characters look the way you want the location the way you want and the feel of the book the way you want (my personal opinion)

The more sites I go to, the more mixed opinions i get. In other words, in some sites they said that another movie will come in 2009. Which is great. But because AP was in SB, the other movies wouldn't look right with a diferent character playing AR. Also, because I've seen SB movie, i now want to see all the others in movies.

It is also similar to the book. In the first book, he didn't get alot of money in the first few .....(?).......  and in PB, he got doubled the money and the next book doubled it again. It could be the same with the movies. Who knows???
