Ok I got a question about the shoe tracking device.If it was still in his shoe then why didn't the ASIS keep track of him with that?

i think that the battries in the shoes where taken out or they were dead and alex got the watch that he had for contacting MI6 so he took the battries out from there and put it in his shoe

that was when he was in the jungle and just found out that the batteries were missing and he ripped the shoe apart and put the batterie in the watch but why not have the ASIS tracking him as well with the shoe

it was a short range beacon, there's no way you could track him with it so far away (this is explained in the book) |

thats the shoe tracking devise but he changes it so he takes the tracking devise out from there and puts it in his watch to contact M16 but the shoe was to contact the Australian secret services. |

but what if the tracker was still transimiting to ASIS when he flew into the haert of landdont you think that the ASIS whould of came for him

they might have but it didnt say in the book so all the secret services are the same eg like in point blanc M16 didnt come for alex when he needed them so maby ASIS thought give him more time which i thought was stupid because he could have got killed!
