Arekkusu Raidaa - Stormbreaker Movie in Japan

I'm in Japan now, and by a stunning coincidence, I walked into HMV and saw what appears to be the Japanese DVD release day of Stormbreaker. Or as they've called it here, Alex Rider, but as they say it 'Arekkusu Raidaa'. There is very little fanfare about it, and there was no prominent display or anything. But I thought you might be interested.

Since then I've found this site. There's a small trailer on the homepage but enter the site and click on the fifth main button to see it slightly bigger, along with a teaser, and a TV Spot with an absolutely suicidal voiceover.

Muaha.

The trailer's voiceover isn't as bad - the deep Japanese voice seems to be saying 'You will tear up the history books of spying'. To Alex, that is. Not me.

I just rented it and watched and I swear there are some changes from the British version.

There's a scene with Nadia Vole telling Sayle that Alex is Alex Rider and not OtherNameGuy ... Kevin, which I'm sure I haven't seen before, as well as some other short clips. Is that scene in the British version?

By the way, I watched it in Japanese. Amusing.

Well, Japan is lovely and Iam sure the film isnt much different in Japanese, just the language and some of the points that "kingofsamurai" made. It sounds really good in Japanese.

Oh and 'You're never too young to die' became 'When you die, you die'. A translation that's kinder to the translator would be 'You die when you die' which is actually just a re-arrangement of the words but ... the meaning's different. I think so anyway.

I think I prefered "Your never to young to die" That was the original way Anthony put it.

yeh i like that better aswell it makes it sound more realistic ( to me)
