Does anyone else feel that Major yu is the wimpiest bad guy in Alex Rider so far? huh
I mean anyone who looks at an english breakfast and faints of glee is a bit of a weirdo in my books... grin

Major Yu didn't even feel like a real baddie to me...that may sound a little strange but he reminded me too much of all the other bad guys Alex has dealt with. AH just seemed to merge all the previous villians into one and create a character who even Alex didn't take very seriously...  undecided

He seemed like one of those Bond villain who can't do much for themselves except dress up and pet a small animal while wallowing in wealth. And you know, no one really takes a Bond villain and says "Wow. How evil!"

But back to the topic, out of all the baddies in the AR series, he doesn't have much on reputation. The other villains had a motive of their own, but he was just following orders for Scorpia. In the end, he just seemed like a spoiled kid who continues to get his way because of the people he knows, not on his own right of doing his evil bidding on his own.

He seemed like a bad loser to me, and made the same mistakes every evil villian made in the series. He tried to kill Alex in a fashioned way, something different. Anyway, he was still a good, strong character.

Yes, but i felt his love for English treats was a bit eccentric! I'll admit I love our English breakfast but English wine for goodness sake personaly i hate wine but I don't know anyone who drinks English wine?

me neither. i hate alcohol, it burns, and i know it's supposed too when you first try it and stuff, but it feels like my throats being melted and torched!  cheesy . anyway, i quite liked the evilness of major Yu he had a really good originality and stuff.  evil  smiley
