Greetings from Planet Meki!

I don't know if anyone else picked this up when they read Snakehead, but Major Yu's evil spare parts hospital has two nurses that are remarkably like the ones in Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The Big Nurse in this book has a starched white uniform and wears bright red lipstick and her assistant has a big birthmark over her neck.       Charleen and Isabel have similarities...Charleen's lipstick and Isabel's rash.

AH undoubtedly used it as a model for an evil ( evil) hospital. I was wondering if anyone else noticed that and if there were any other similarities between the two.

Since I've never read One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, I can't judge about this.  But well spotted!

But whats so bad about being evil? Our evil is rather agreeable. We are actually rather pleasantly evil.
