ok so i live in america and i whent online and it says snakehead doesn't come out until november 13. But the alex rider website says it comes out in 5 days on october 31. And Anthony Horowitz said on an online chat the book is released in england, america, and australia on the same date. SO when is it available in america?

Hasn't it, like, come out in America already? Because I got my advanced copy from a lady in Canada, and that was months ago!

Psst!  I'm a well known childrens author(i've changed my name obviously!) and I just want to say that I got the new hardback edition of Snakehead today at 9am and i've just finished it. I don't make it a habit of writing on other author's forums, but I really just wanted to say it's a really good book. Anthony Horowitz has always been my nemesis and i've hated liking his books (you don't know how hard it is to not punch every button on this keyboard  evil)

Anyway all of you who got it today and haven't finished  ...  nah  nah!!
All of you who have finished it  ...  what do you think? Impressive stuff eh?

I remember hearing that Anthony received alot of stick for previous AR novels (not by me mind!) for being far too unrealistic, of course we have to assume that the British government have a numerous amount of 14 year olds running about saving the country (probably wouldn't do a bad job actually!) Either way, this time it seems he has succumbed to the critics and produced as realistic as you can get story line. Shame it went that way, but sometimes even the best of us have to bite the bullet so to speak  ...  or is that bite the tongue  ...  who know's!!

Anyway, well done Anthony and good luck with the release of Snakehead (God it kills me to say that wink)

yeah i live in america and i was very excited for the new snakehead book and i was going to order it on amazon.com. i noticed that it said that it would be delivered november 12th or 13th and i was like "didn't AH say that it was going to come out on october 13th?" So i went to amazon.co.uk and it was coming out on october 13th there so i ordered it off there but since it is being delivered from england i still have to wait until at least november 6th. i really dont want to wait that long, lol!

yeah it is now november 2nd and i got my book 3 days early than what amazon said it would be. YAY! but its funny because everything is spelled the british way and there are words that you use in england that we don't in the us. ill probably end up buying the american version too and i can compare and contrast them. i am loving snakehead so far tho!

I'm so bummed I can't read it yet!!!!! Crazy America. Why do we have two wait an extra 2 weeks? AAAARRRGGG. I'm venting. I can't wait to buy it on November 13. About...12 days!!!! Then I will probably read it cover to cover, before the next day of course. Unless I have to read it at night, and I would end up reading it into the next day.  wink Very few Alex Rider books I have not done that with. And  to think if I was in England, I would have finished it by now.
OK. I'm acting a bit silly for my age.
