He's good at his job. And the nature of his job is to orchestrate death, in the name of information; to manipulate people for a greater good that from an up close and personal level is hard to put above all else... he can't afford to see people, he has to keep his eyes on the overall wellbeing of the nation. Otherwise... england would be screwed.

I dont like him as such but I get it, I suppose. Though some comments - ie. Alex being acceptable collateral damage, especially in the first few books... like he's something to be used once and tossed out... that got to me. But then I guess it was supposed to wink

i think alan blunt doesn't have any experinces with children so doewsn't know how to treat them he may have had a hard upbrining and probs doesn't know what its like to be out and almost loose your life it is a very hard topic to say yes or no to as we don't know his story
