I think he dies too. He's not indistructable and hes alredy been shot once so it only a matter of time i think. I mean most spys die in the end. Even James Bond did.

It would be such a waste of a new series coming out of it.

I think yassen deserves his own novel. You hardly get to know anything a bout him in the books.

Wait?? How can Alex die if since Eagle Strike I think, Horowitz has been telling us that... *goes to get the books* oh yeah it's Ark Angel instead sorry. Ah hem... quote from first page: "Anthony says, "I've always said that you'll know when you've come to the last book when Alex reaches his fifteenth birthday. I'm determined to give him a happy ending!" ".
So yeah I don't think he can die... How is that a happy ending?

I agree with you, Crunch630
I don't think Anthony Horowitz wants to kill of Alex...
Oh and by the way, I've always got the feeling that Anthony Horowitz would answer something like this to children who ask if Alex Rider's gonna die: "I don't kill children."
It would probably suit the author more than it suited Yassen =)

Yes, but Alice Anthony said in an interview that Alex wouldn't die. He said that Alex's fate would be worse than death. And he said that Alex would not get a happy ending. He said that he just couldn't see a happy ending for him. And I agree with that.

Sure there can be a happy ending! He can tell MI6 in the face: "I'm done with you! I just want to get on with a normal life."
If they're nice enough they'll leave him alone.

Of course he could, but Horowitz said we'd know that this is the last Alex Rider book ever. If he did that there would be an opening for later books. I doubt that Alex's enemies would ever forget them and at some point Alex would get drawn back into his old life. Every happy ending I see leaves an opening for later books.

Yassen is actually my favorite character, and I'd love to read more about him. Especially since he was kind of like Alex. He was only 14 when he started his work. I also feel the book would be directed towards an older audience, which is good. Overall I think a book about Yassen has lots of potential.

Meh, I don't like it when writers write books about the same world but a different character. But waite, wouldn't that mean that Alex's dad would be in it? That I'd like!

*grins* I may just like these books. For some weird reason I have a liking for Alex's dad even though he's barely mentioned in the books. Don't ask me why. I've just always wanted to hear more about him.
