Ya but it might get boring as a whole book- maybe a short story? Also Mr. Horowitz is better at writing action/adventure when it comes to Alex Rider. If he wrote about a normal life he'd have to find a new way to add suspense to the story, and that changes the style of the writing completely.

The 3rd version is recommended, it includes:
-Torture, but not too much torture
-Comedy, laugh your guts out on it
-Action, can't have too little of that
