so my books came in. =] and i read the first four, and i realized that AH pretends to kill alex a lot. at the end of almost every chapter, it's all suspenseful because alex was being shot at, or he was falling, or a knife was pointed at him, and then it's like, the gun was shot. alex stopped thinking. and then in the next chapter, it would be like, but then alex got up and realized that the other guy was dead! so many fake killings kind of made the big suspenseful ending at the end of scorpia not so good, because when ah is always pretending to kill alex, you kind of know that he's not really going to die. kind of like the guy who cried wolf. but the first four were really good. scorpia is still my favorite, though, because so many questions are answered.

Any people who have an issue thing with Ark Angel-have you read Snakehead? I think it totally makes up for any... unrealistic stuff in Ark Angel. Can't say any more, but it is probably my favorite. Scorpia comes close, but I think Snakehead is on the top.
I love all the suspense, and fake killing...I knew Alex wasn't dead (because Ark Angel was out when I read Scorpia) but it was still a shocker. I was so sad.

i haven't read the last two yet. i don't think snakehead is out in canada yet? i don't know. i'm asking for ark angel for christmas, but i don't know if i'll get it, because there's no bookstores in the immediate area...as in the nearest bookstore is FIVE hours away...gosh. i should build a bookstore. =(

but yea. i've heard that ark angel isn't the best. i'd still like to read it, just so that i've read it, if that makes sense. haha.

I would definitely read Ark Angel. It may not be the best, but I think it is definitely on the top. Scorpia is a hard book to follow! Don't skip Ark Angel. It has some of the best fight scenes and characters. Tamara Knight, for example. grin

I'd read Ark Angel, too, even if it does have some things I don't like!
It's really good and follows on really well from Scorpia

Ever watched C.S.I.? I love the show. So why did Alex survive? He is an amazing character. But what happened was explained. It was scientifically proven. (in the book) He had to survive because remember something was already being planned. Blunt still needed Alex. Alex got lucky like always. Remember the character in the book doesn't decide the fate, the author has that power.

I think that your reply, Lotrguy, has been the best one so far. I totally agree. afro

Yes. Very good. After all, he is a teen spy. How possible is that? Anthony Horowitz makes it possible.
But it may be more than we think...
