Yeah. And to add to that...if Alex joined Scorpia before knowing about M16, he'd probably be able to kill. Possibly. Well, since his uncle, and parents died, maybe that's why too.

Yeah, I agree with Lightbulb621, Scorpia would do that type of thing...get you to kill before you see death so when you do see death, it's too late to turn back.

Alex killing someone would make absolutely no sense. It just doesn't work at all. I think if he did kill someone our following of him would slowly die. I don't find it logistically correct.

OK, the kid is the same age as me., 14.  Why would MI6 give permission to a 14 year old to kill?  Yeah that woudl be great.  you can just see the headlines now.  KID KILLS US NAVY OFFICER!  KID KILLS THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA!  14 YEAR OLD ALEX RIDER KILLS THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND!  You're all nuts if you want Alex to kill.

Lol... MI6 wanted a spy... they didn't want a killer... anyway Alex didn't want to be like all those bad guys in the stories. X3 They all ended up screwed at the end anyway... or dead... whichever.

I think that the decision to not give Alex a gun is not a good idea. I think they should at least give him like a gun with tranquilizers (not just one) to use on his missions. And Alex may not be so wary of killing in the last book. That would be sad though.

I think that if Alex got his hands on a gun he couldn't shoot it and even if he did he would probably weaken himself and miss so he would be hurting himself rather than his target like in eagle strike when he is on the boat I mean his morals couldn't pull the trigger and even if he had in the book he had to hold the gun with two hands so...

Maybe anthony didn't want a 14 year old to be all evil and kill people coz younger kids might look up 2 alex.

i dont think alex will be able to kill not in cold blood when he went to scorpia and had to kill mrs jones he fired the gun but had no intention of killing her he has too much of a conscience even for the bad guys he might when he gets older but not when he is only 14
